Be KIDS
Between Sea, Wind and Freedom
In the heart of Greece, among the Galaxidi Islands, our 13-meter sailboat sets sail for children from disadvantaged families, offering them – free of charge – much more than just a day at sea: an encounter with nature, with silence, with the beauty of the world.
Here, phones fall silent. The wind becomes music. The sun dances on the water. And the children rediscover the simple joy of being present, free, alive. As we sail, the sea sometimes offers us its most beautiful gift: dolphins surfacing between the islands, swimming alongside the sailboat as if to welcome the children into their blue kingdom.
These suspended moments remain etched in our hearts forever. On board, our crew kindly shares their love of the sea, their respect for all living things, and the importance of protecting this fragile planet that unites us all. Watching seabirds, listening to the whisper of the wind, understanding the sea to better love it: each outing becomes a human and poetic adventure.
Our mission is to offer a moment of respite to children who need it.
A day away from hardship, close to nature. A day to dream bigger than the horizon.
Because a child who learns to love the sea will also learn to protect the planet.
Man in the Mirror Michael Jackson
For once in my life
It’s gonna feel real good
Gonna make a difference, gonna make it right
This wind is blowin’ my mind
I see the kids in the street with not enough to eat
Who am I to be blind, pretending not to see their needs?
And a one man’s soul
They follow each other on the wind, ya know
‘Cause they got nowhere to go
That’s why I want you to know
I’m asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change
Uh-huh
It’s time that I realize
There are some with no home, not a nickel to loan
Could it be really me pretending that they’re not alone?
And a washed-out dream (a washed-out dream)
They follow the pattern of the wind, ya see
‘Cause they got no place to be
That’s why I’m starting with me
I’m asking him to change his ways (who?)
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change
I’m asking him to change his ways (who?)
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make that change
I’m asking him to change his ways (oh, you better change)
No message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make the change
‘Cause when you close your heart (you can’t)
Then you close your (your) mind (that man, that man)
I’m asking him to change his ways (that man, that man, that man)
Oh, you better change (you know, that man)
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make that change
(Ooh) gonna feel real good, yeah (oh, yeah)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah (na-na-na), yeah, yeah (na-na-na, na-na-na-na)
Oh-oh, oh, no
It’s gonna feel real good, shamone (change)
Just lift yourself, you know
You’ve got to start with yourself (yeah)
(Man in the mirror) you’ve got to
You got to start with yourself, brother
(Yeah) you know
(Man in the mirror) you’ve got to
You got to move, shamone, shamone
You got to stand up (yeah), stand up (make that change), stand up
Stand up and lift yourself now (man in the mirror)
You know it, you know it, you know it, you know (change)
Make that change
