“I don’t know exactly when I realised I was going to lose my boat.
At first, I still thought it was a technical problem. Something stupid. A small thing. One of those unexpected issues that always happens when you live on the water. When you’ve chosen the sea as your home, you quickly learn that nothing ever goes according to plan.
But not this time. This wasn’t an accident.
It was a verdict.
The sea wasn’t shouting. It didn’t need to. It was doing what it does best: taking. Calmly. Methodically. As if it had been waiting for this moment for a long time.
I remember the sound.
Not the sound of the wind—that’s easy. The wind is almost a companion. It speaks to you, warns you, pushes you forward. You can argue with it. You can negotiate. You can even insult it if you want.
